Hi everyone! I’m struggling to understand how to use classifiers correctly in ASL. Could someone explain the difference between CL:V and CL:bent V? Maybe with examples? Thanks in advance!
Classifiers can be tricky when you’re first learning them! CL: V tends to be used to represent eyes (I remember that because it’s the same handshape for the word “see”) and legs (kind of like “couch”). CL: bent-V is usually for animals.

Here’s a website that may help: https://www.lifeprint.com/asl101/pages-signs/classifiers/classifiers-main.htm
